Reading list update…
Oh heyyy tumblr it’s been a while,
#7 - Seduction Games - the personalised romance novel I got for Sarah as a joke - had to read it to vet the contents…
#8 Cold Comfort Farm - funny - didn’t expect to like it but did, hurrah.
#9 Catching Fire - 2nd Hunger Games book - just getting better and better…
#10 Hotel World - meh, thought it was distinctly average, not worth the bumming it got in my seminar
#11 Christie Malry’s Own Double Entry - self-conscious and postmodern to the last, it may have been groundbreaking but I’m over the ‘ooh look we’re in a novel’ narrative voice, pissed me off
#12 Mockingjay - 3rd Hunger Games book - found harder going than the first 2 as it didn’t have the format of the games to write a narrative around, but after finishing I needed a good 10 minutes of breathing to get over it. Loved the trilogy.
So, those are the books I’ve read cover to cover - I’m impressed with myself seeing I’ve I’ve had a hell of a lot reading for my course and essays which I can’t count and wastes precious reading challenge time. 52 is now my aim though.
I’ve got on the go…
- Nights at the Circus - less than 100 pages from finishing, will finish when term is over
- Midnight’s Children - LOL it’s huge and I am not going to finish it in a week mid-essay time, but may as well try.
- The Confessions of a Justified Sinner - not so big but, again, mid-essay time, you must be joking.

Mad Props Theatre is a brand new theatre initiative where we raise funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research through Musical Theatre. I love every single ruddy person in this photo. So worried that the lack of constant Thursday and Sundays will loosen the friendships I’ve made but I hope to lawrd it doesn’t. Lotsa effort to stay close to all these beautiful people. I was too afraid to join the society last year - what would have happened if I’d chickened out again this time? I’d never have met all the colourful characters I have, who are all so talented and hilarious, or become more confident in myself. Oklahoma was one of the best things I’ve ever done and I’m so glad I grew a pair and got involved. You’re all brilliant.
